Course Objectives Providing comprehensive information on the protection of authors, trademarks, patents, industrial designs, utility models and other industrial rights within the framework of the relevant legislation and international treaties.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to define both the moral rights of the author such as the right to demand his/her name to be mentioned and the financial rights such as reproduction, dissemination and representation.
  • Will be able to discuss the limits of the rights of the author.
  • Will be able to evaluate the civil and criminal cases that can be filed in case of infringement of rights.
  • Will be able to analyze intellectual and artistic works contracts in terms of subject, limit, elements, form, termination.
  • Will be able to explain the importance and function of trademark protection.
  • Will be able to evaluate the role of legal protection in gaining competitive advantage with patent rights.
  • Will be able to explain the issues related to trademark, patent, utility model, industrial design and other industrial rights in Industrial Property Law
Course Description Within the scope of this course, the agreements to which we are a party regarding the protection of intellectual and industrial rights and the place of these agreements in Turkish law and the types and legal protection of the rights in question will be examined.
