Course Objectives This course aims to examine national and international environmental law regulations and to determine legal and criminal liability in the field of environmental law.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • The students who succeeded in this course; • explain the notion of environment.
  • explain basic principles and the sources of environmental law.
  • compare strict and fault liability of the polluter.
  • evaluate national regulations comparing to international regulations.
  • explain the scope of the environmental rights as human rights.
  • discuss about precautions to be taken for protecting the environment.
  • Interpret the related judicial decisions.
Course Description Environment problems and development of environment law, principles and measures, right to join and application, principle of sustainability, international treaties, and provisions on environment law in constitution, responsibilities rising from environmental damages.
