Course Objectives The aim of this course is to develop a basic understanding about healthcare law in the light of “right to health” regarding to “right to live”, and to examine legal responsibility due to malpractice related with “patient rights” within the frame of international and national legislation and legal practice.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Students succeeded in this course are able to • Define the concepts related with “right to health” and legal terms of “health law” in general from social rights perspective in the light of international instruments,
  • Compare the international and national legal sources about health law and patient rights,
  • Examine precedent cases about healthcare within the scope of international and national legislation,
  • Discuss about some popular issues related with “right to health” and “healthcare”,
  • Explain “patient rights”, and the legal responsibility of the State and healthcare providers in different fields of law.
Course Description Legal rules and practice about healthcare law in the light of “right to health” in relation of “right to live”, comparatively in national and international law.
