| Course Objectives | The aim of this course is to gain knowledge about public law principles of Turkish banking law and about private law transactions made by banks. |

| Course Description | In this course, the historical background of banking law, sources of banking law, the importance and the role of the Central Bank, legal regime of banks, their creation and operation, organs of bank, requirements for the safe operation of banks, supervision on banks, banking offenses, international banking transactions, general features of banking contracts, notion and nature of deposit, notion of credit, credit transactions, credit contracts, payment transactions, bank card, credit card, transfer, letter of credit, purpose of letter of credit, its functioning and legal nature will be explained. |
