Course Objectives Examining Turkish Code of Obligations (Law no 6098) provisions concerning private debt relations, and some specific contracts in detail
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be to classify atypical contracts
  • Will be able to discuss the characteristics, and terms and conditions of contact of sale and contract of donation
  • Will be able to define the characteristics, and terms and conditions of rental contract and guarantee contract
  • Will be able to define the characteristics, and terms and conditions of contact of mandate and contract of work
  • Will be able to compare the provisions of the old Code of Obligations (Law no 818) and the new Turkish Code of Obligations (Law no 6098) where necessary
Course Description Couse content includes specific contracts and their legal aspects. Some of these contracts are contract of sale, contract of donation, contract of mandate, contract of work, rental contract, guarantee contract, employment contract and publishing contract.
